Fulton Introduces 800hp Horizontal Firetube Boiler
to U.S. Market

Pulaski, NY –Fulton (www.fulton.com), a global manufacturer of steam, hydronic and thermal fluid heat transfer products, recently announced expanded distribution of the company’s horizontal firetube steam and hot water boilers up to 800hp to include the United States. Fulton has been manufacturing horizontal firetube steam and hot water boilers for more than a decade in the global market, but this marks the first time the company is offering boilers of this kind and size to the U.S. market.

Fulton’s horizontal firetube boilers feature a three-pass wet-back design, and are offered with an open protocol burner with a pressure rating up to 300 psig MAWP.  Additionally, Fulton has partnered with several burner manufactures to create a high horsepower boiler that is also equipped with state-of-the-art controls.

A PLC (programmable logic controller) boiler control system shows operators the current boiler status. This control feature was developed by Fulton’s engineering staff to provide high-tech display parameters for burner firing rate, stack temperature, steam pressure, boiler water temperature and stack oxygen levels. The module also displays status of the boiler feed water pumps, de-aerator water temperature and boiler water level. Using this module, an operator can closely match and maintain boiler performance with system requirements.

The horizontal firetube boiler will compliment other steam boiler and steam-related equipment currently offered by Fulton. These larger boilers provide more design options for engineers and contractors, delivering steam and hot water solutions for building heat and humidification, as well as for a number of process related manufacturing industries, including large industrial/commercial laundries and chemical and pharmaceutical processing.
