American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

Since 1916, ASME has accredited companies in the pressure vessel industry to certify that their products, services and quality system comply with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

The ASME International Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code establishes rules governing the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels.

British Standards (BS)

BSI British Standards is the UK's National Standards Body (NSB) and was the world's first. It represents UK economic and social interests across all of the European and international standards organizations and through the development of business information solutions for British organizations of all sizes and sectors. British Standards works with manufacturing and service industries, businesses, governments and consumers to facilitate the production of British, European and international standards.

CE Marking

CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain European Directives. CE marking gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. The initials "CE" do not stand for any specific words but are a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the applicable European Directive(s).

Canadian Standards Association (CSA)

CSA marked products are used and sold in the U.S. everyday. Many manufacturers choose CSA International for testing and certification specifically because of CSA's experience in working with U.S. standards. But others simply recognize that as an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) in the U.S., CSA International is fully qualified to test and certify products to applicable U.S. standards. CSA tests and certifies to standards published by ANSI, UL, CSA, NSF and other leading standards publishers.

Intertek ETL

ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) was established in 1896 as Thomas Edison's lamp testing centre. Today ETL/Intertek is a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), like UL, CSA, and other independent testing organizations. ETL/Intertek tests, inspects, and certifies products in many industries including HVAC Equipment. The ETL listing mark indicates the product complies with the applicable safety standards of the United States and/or Canadian by denoting US and/or C respectively.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators.

UKAS is a non-profit-distributing company, limited by guarantee, and operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government through the Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL)

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing Standards for Safety for over a century. UL evaluates more than 19,000 types of products, components, materials and systems annually with 21 billion UL Marks appearing on 72,000 manufacturers' products each year. UL's worldwide family of companies and network of service providers includes 62 laboratory, testing and certification facilities serving customers in 99 countries.
